Annual Leave

Employees accrue annual leave at the rate of one-fifth of the employee’s weekly base hours based on length of service as follows:

An employee may carry a maximum accumulation of up to 480 hours from one calendar year to the next. Maximum accumulation limit for those whose weekly base hours are less than forty (40) will be prorated.

Sick Leave

Sick leave is accrued at the same rate as Annual Leave. Sick leave may also be used for illness of an employee’s child, dependent, spouse, parent, or other eligible immediate family members. Employees hired July 1, 2025, or after may carry a maximum accumulation of 720 hours (prorated for those scheduled to a workweek of less than 40 hours) forward from one calendar year to the next.

Personal Leave

Employees shall receive up to 48 hours of paid personal leave each calendar year at the rate of 1/5 of the employee’s weekly base hours. Personal leave must be used by the last day of the previous pay period in December of the calendar year and cannot be carried forward to the next calendar year. During the first year of eligibility, new employees will receive up to forty-eight (48) hours of paid personal leave on a pro-rated basis up to the following:

Bereavement

Employees receive bereavement leave upon the death of an immediate family member, not to exceed five (5) regularly scheduled workdays and up to three (3) workdays for the death of a family member, other than immediate family.
